The Most Happy Fella
The University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music and the Department of Theatre and Dance combine forces to present a gem of classic Broadway at the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center.
Step into a world of romance, heartache, and joy with our enchanting production of Frank Loesser's beloved musical, "The Most Happy Fella." This timeless classic is a celebration of love in its many forms, set against the picturesque backdrop of Napa Valley.
"The Most Happy Fella" tells the touching tale of Tony, an aging Italian grape farmer, who sends a photograph of a handsome young man to win the heart of Rosabella, a waitress in San Francisco. When she arrives to meet him, she discovers the truth but finds herself drawn to Tony's earnest and loving nature. This poignant story explores themes of identity, acceptance, and the transformative power of love.
Whether you're a lifelong fan of musicals or discovering this gem for the first time, "The Most Happy Fella" promises a night of laughter, tears, and pure joy.
